Prayer 25

Help us, O God, to feed not only

upon bread that nourishes bone and sinew

but upon the radiance of night-blooming cereus,

and the purity of a selfless act, for we are a people

who must feed on bread, beauty, and compassion.

Bless our home, our Father,

that we cherish the bread before there be none,

discover each other for what we are...

while we have time.
